Coolest YouTube video!

I saw this last week on my sister's Facebook page and I've been enthralled with it ever since:

'Tis almost wedding season

As the weather warms up here you can tell so not necessarily by the buds on the trees, the longer daylight hours or the singing birds. No, what really is a hallmark of spring arriving are the couples out on weekends around Edmonton getting wedding photos.

This weekend I did not attend a wedding but rather a stagette (hens party); still there were plenty of opportunities to take some outdoor photos. As a bit of background my high school buddy Mike is getting married in three weeks. I literally just met his bride-to-be Angie when I moved to Edmonton at the end of February but already we've totally hit it off.

The stagette involved some glow-in-the-dark mini-golf, then we retired to Angie and Mike's acreage for some appetizers, drinking and a huge bonfire. Here are just a few candid snaps from the weekend, enjoy!

May long weekend

Well May long weekend was nothing short of entertaining this year. My sister came to Edmonton for a week and we got together on the long weekend with our friends Melanie and Kelly. These were girls that we used to teach English with and live next to in South Korea and we hadn't been together as a group since I moved home in 2004.

Melanie now lives in Fort Saskatchewan (just outside of Edmonton) and is married with two beautiful daughters. Kelly lives in Vancouver and is still teaching English (especially to those French RCMP officers ;)). We had the best weekend ever just catching up, reminiscing and drinking a lot. I guess some things really haven't changed.

Here are a few pictures from our weekend.

I can't stay away!

Hi everyone!

I just couldn't stay away from blogging ~ it's rather addictive! Here's my new one with some of the adventures I've been having since my return from Australia. I hope you all enjoy and will continue to follow and comment.

Cheers,
Andrea
