Dodgeball!

The University of Alberta had an ambitious quest this past Friday of beating the Guinness World Record for largest dodgeball game ever held ~ and they did with 1,200 people showing up to play! It was apparently a bit of a melee but still brought people of all ages together. To celebrate the world record attempt the University also had a weekend of dodgeball scheduled. I participated in the Sunday dodgeball tournament and let me tell you I think my stomach hurts from the laughter as much as my arm hurts from throwing the balls. I've included a few photos of the fun.

  2. Just watching the Ladies' Moguls... OMG it's raining... nooooo! Cried like a baby during the opening ceremony... bawled through the Rhythm of the Fall, with all the groovy tattooed, tap dancing, tartan clad violinists (being a violist myself and trying to be a groovy one)... be still my heart. Luke and I have made a pact that we will be living in Canada by 2015. Need to build one more house in order to live without income while we get settled. Have 2 friends in Canada... you and my old neighbour so that's a start. Brynley (my oldest son) wants to be doing his Uni Medical Degree in Canada... how's that for a 5 year goal. If we sell this place before June, we are coming for the 3 week school break, in your summer, to see the scenery before our winter holiday, at Christmas, for the skiing. A-M xx
